Team PTW from Pole To Win Performed at the 45th National Abilympics (Vocational Skills Competition for Persons with Disabilities)

Team PTW consists of two members: Yuwa, a freestyle basketball performer with a hearing impairment, and HARUKI, a human beatboxer with mosaic Down syndrome. The team began its activities in 2024 as a performance group that embodies the message, "Even with a disability, you can turn your passion into a profession." They are active in events and video productions under their original coined term, "Para Performer®."

Abilympics is a nationwide event where individuals with disabilities showcase and compete in the skills they have cultivated through daily efforts. Team PTW performed at the "Disability Work Fair - Stage Event" held on Saturday, October 18, presenting a dynamic performance that fuses freestyle basketball and human beatboxing.

About Team PTW

Team PTW is a para performer group working to establish a culture of para performance in Japan. Current members include Yuwa, a freestyle basketballer and team leader with a hearing impairment, and HARUKI, a human beatboxer with Down syndrome. Since 2024, they have been active, and under the theme "our skills, our styles!", they aim to be a performance group that captivates both individually and collectively. The team is committed to widely communicating the empowering message that having a disability should not be a barrier to turning one's aspirations into a profession.
