As a result of this joint research, PTW advanced the technology to the stage of actual in-house operational use with the "Fully Automated E2E Test Design System" announced in October 2025.

Background of the joint research and development
The "Fully Automated End-to-End Test Design System," announced by PTW in October 2025, is an AI system that leverages AI to analyze system code and automatically generate E2E test designs. By enabling AI to handle the test design process--traditionally requiring significant time and effort from specialized engineers--this approach introduces a new way to simultaneously enhance productivity and quality in development environments.
This technology aims to address the challenge of balancing speed and accuracy in quality assurance while keeping pace with the accelerating software development cycle driven by the advancement of agile methodologies and the widespread adoption of AI. Automated test design powered by AI has the potential to fundamentally transform bottlenecks in the testing process. PTW is promoting this as a mechanism to optimize business processes and enable engineers to focus on more creative and value-added tasks.
In this research and development project for the system, we established a collaborative research framework with 2WINS, an AI startup originating from the University of Tokyo. 2WINS is a company with strengths in cutting-edge AI fields such as natural language processing and image recognition, led by researchers from institutions including the University of Tokyo and the Indian Institute of Technology. Through this collaboration, PTW has promoted the joint development of algorithms that enable AI to more effectively understand code and perform dynamic test design.
Through this collaboration, we have achieved improvements to AI models leveraging the latest academic insights and the automation of test design. PTW will continue to strengthen partnerships with research institutions and startups, including 2WINS, as we explore new possibilities for applying AI in the field of quality assurance.
