Pole To Win Holdings, Inc. (Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Teppei Tachibana; Securities Code: 3657), which operates globally in the Service Lifecycle Solutions business, oversees Palabra Inc. (Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President: Shoko Yamagami; hereinafter "Palabra"), a company engaged in Japanese and multilingual subtitle production for films, barrier-free subtitles and audio guide creation, and the development and operation of the audio guide app "UDCast."
Last year, Director Yoko Yamanaka's "Desert of Namibia" won the award and produced a barrier-free version of her debut movie, "Amiko" upon the Director's request. Since a barrier-free version of "Brand New Landscape" has already been produced in UDCaast this year, it has been decided that a barrier-free version will be produced for the next production by Director Danzuka.
Barrier-free versions of the movie "Brand New Landscape" was produced in collaboration with the movie staff, Palabra, and the monitors of the parties concerned. By using the "UDCast MOVIE" app, one can enjoy barrier-free subtitles that can be enjoyed with subtitle glasses, smart phones, and tablets, as wel as 2 types of audio guidance by Aoba Kawai and BE:FIRST LEO.
Comments from Director Danzuka (Gold Prize)
For this barrier-free version production in collaboration with Palabra, they were mainly involved from the script review meetings for the audio guide through to the recording sessions. Normally, only one version of the audio guide is produced, but thanks to their flexibility, we were able to create two versions--one with a male voice and one with a female voice. Both were excellent, but personally, I was deeply moved to work again with Aoba Kawai, who appeared in my previous film "Toku he Ikitaiwa".
In light of this award, I am truly grateful for the opportunity to have a barrier-free version and UDCast provided for my next work. I will continue striving to create even better films in the future.
